What Was I Scared Of?

Well...
I was [working] in the night
And I saw nothing scary.
For I have never been afraid
Of anything. Not very.

Then I was deep within [a seam]
When, suddenly, I spied them
I saw a pair of [quilted] pants
With nobody inside them!

I wasn't scared. But, yet, I stopped.
What could those pants be there for?
What could a pair of pants at night
Be standing in the air for?

-Dr. Seuss

But it turns out, they weren't that scary at all.

Nothing like a pair of pink pocketed parading pachyderm pants.

Just enough room for little treasures.

Still playing along with kcwc...

Just can't help myself.

  2. so. so. (okay, sew), so cute! what is it about babies in overalls with no shirt? this was my favorite with my little sibs.

but these pair almost compete with that cute baby inside. love the fabric, love the trim, the pocket, the buttons, the dr. seuss, your alliteration...

did the fabric come quilted already?

  17. perfectly childish. How did you do the binding/ topstitching? do you have a special edger foot or something to help or is this just great skill alone? The stitch lines look so exactly even, mine do not turn out that nice. ~Sarah

  21. SO. Thank you all for such kind words! The pattern is a hybrid of a vintage McCall's pattern and some changes I made. If someone would teach me how to get my pattern from paper form to PDF form?!?

The fabric I purchased quilted. And I didn't use a serger on it, I just stitched twice around the bias on the edges to give it that look.

  23. Oh my goodness...you kill me with your cleverness!

I could tell you how I put patterns into PDF, but honestly I have to kind of teach myself as I go each time...still I'd be happy to share how I do it and you could probably improve upon the method.
