I love gardenias! The first spring in our new house was made fragrant by a gardenia bush...sadly, it didn't survive fall. I hope yours fares better. I think your climate is better suited for it! In China women would sell gardenias and we would buy entire baskets full, making the sellers stunned and us happy!ReplyDelete
My mom instilled in me a love for Gardenias; a love that she received from her father. I think they're the most-prized flower (& fragrance) in our home. I think they were more treasured because she always talked about how they couldn't grow here in Utah; that they needed a place like her home of California.ReplyDelete
One time, she gifted me a gardenia plant to keep indoors for my birthday. I was happiest when a new flower bloomed. And saddest when the plant finally died...
Happy October to you!
That is absolutely terrific! Gardenias seem like a flower you would like. I love Clover's blessing dress.ReplyDelete
