Floating Clover

Oh, my.  You all sure do know how to make a very pregnant woman feel pretty, even when she steps on the jumbo scale at the grocery store and realizes she has never ever weighed that much in her entire life.  Good news on the pregnancy front: I am able to deliver at the birthing center because this pregnant woman has brought up her iron to a decent level!  After bringing it up one point I told the midwife that one point seemed rather insignificant.  She said it made the difference between delivering at the hospital and the place of my choice, and that it's no easy task for someone pregnant to raise her iron level.  (Pat on back.)  Thankyouverymuch, Floradix.

Meanwhile, my poolside project photo shoot didn't turn out so well.  Something to do with waiting until the sun already went down, because I needed to add just a bit more embroidery here and there, a cloudy sky and rain.  Lots of rain.  We'll try again tomorrow.  On the bright side, it's amazing how much I can get done when not blogging.  Like bathing little monkeys.

 Huh.  Good to know.

  4. But does Floradix make you nauseous? I just found out that I'm pregnant, and have been anemic or years now, and every iron supplement I try makes me so sick1 I don't really want to add anything else to morning sickness.

  5. So the history for my family (myself, my mom, and my 2 sisters) is that we all gain a ton of weight with our little boys as compared to our little girls! :) not that I want to get your hopes up, I'm just sharing! :D Bath times were my favorite! So fun! :D

  7. My daughter was somewhat/crazy anemic after she was born and the Dr. told us to give her these horrible iron drops. I wasn't going to do this and so I ate like a fiend~steak, spinach, yogurt, oatmeal~non stop.
Viola! Her iron levels went up! He thought he was so smart, what with the iron drops and all, but this mama knew better!
Also, for the nauseous mama, I try a banana~maybe it's the potassium?
    Happy birth-in-a-birthing center to you!!

miq-yes we feel so blessed. lucy is loving her new wheels ;)

little wife-I didn't have any side effects that normal iron pills cause (nausea or constipation) In fact it seems to regulate me, if we're getting personal ;)

Maybe the jumbo scale at the grocery store was broken and someone forgot to put a sign on it... ;-)

  12. So glad the Floradix worked! That's what I've had to use with both of my pregnancies, since I seem to have an issue with anemia. Floradix is the only thing that works for me. And like you, it was a hospital-or-else issue! I also hemorrhaged seriously after my second delivery, and thanks to getting my iron level up prior, I was able to avoid a hospital transfer!
