Sewing Soiree Summation

I think I had the most fun at this sewing soiree, not just because there was a smattering of foreign candies at my fingertips.
I loved this line up of chatting hand stitchers!
Sewing machines whirring, wafting smell of cookies baking.

A pillowcase dress completed! [and you should see how great she did her stitches!]
Dilly bread was served, of course.

These two sat on the floor making Halloween decor.

Bevy beauty buffet.

I drew some inspiration from one of the lovely ladies in attendance.  Hopefully I'll be able to actualize what I have in my head to share with you soon?

Thank you to all who came and made it an extraordinary night.  Let's do it again, shall we?
I've also heard from some of you who have decided to hold your own Sewing Soirees!  I'd love to hear about them.

  1. I saw some 365 root beer. My personal favorite! It looks like a lovely night.

  2. Looks like so much fun!
I did a post back in May at my first one.
We've had about 3 since then. When the weather warms up here we can spill out onto the decking and enjoy daylight savings. :D

  3. Sure wish I could be there! Maybe I'll have to do one here. Looks like it was lovely.

  4. This looks like so much fun! I think I need to start one of these in Cincinnati!

  5. I know you were focusing on the sewing and women around you but I couldn't help but notice the fabulous room decor...
the harps(which I ALWAYS wanted to play), the huge red flower on the mantle, and the metal outdoor red chairs along the wall. Not to mention inside the fireplace and the melons or gourds on the shelf. Is this your home or a friend's?

  6. Please pass the pop and dilly bread!

  7. Jacinta--Good for you! I'm impressed you've had so many!

Deborah--It is my home! Thank you for your compliments.

  8. Ah! Looks like so much fun! Would you like to travel to Cape Cod and help me host one?? Glad it was a success:)

  9. so fun! what a great evening! girl talk and sewing...perfection :)

  10. That looks like a great time.
One I hope to have people near by that share my passion.

  11. Looks like such fun. You can put the gummies right by me!

  12. ooo. how fun. I want to live by you :)

  13. Where did you find the lovely HUGE flower over the fireplace? It's great!

Be a lamb & tell me what's on your mind.
