Per Request

I really meant to include a photo of Ryan and me yesterday, but sadly did not have a recent enough one.  Photos from our wedding?  Sure!
I made my wedding cakes: varying shades of green fondant.
They looked beautiful, but I'm not sure they tasted that great.
Can't remember.

A beehive as the top cake with tiny marzipan bees with sugar wings flying on rice noodles.

Ah.  The cute couple.

What do you still have from your wedding?

the cakes are such fun and you both look so serenely serious. and i mean that in a lovely way- not to mention your teeny little waist line that you still possess to this day. hmph.
    sweet.

i still have our lamps from Joel's great Aunt & Uncle who were more like grandparents, a giant tote full of tulle wrapped candles that no one realized were favors and my tiara... something i never thought i'd wear.

  6. Beautiful photo of you and your husband! And the cakes! Wow! We still have many things 10 years after our wedding... glasses, lamps, dishes, silverware, our mixer, our toaster, the list goes on and on. It pays to register for quality stuff. :-D

  7. We have a beautiful mirror my uncle made us. We really didn't have ANYTHING when we got married so we've just been collecting things along the way. It has been fun! I am looking forward to many more years.

Your cakes are beautiful and so are you!

  8. Love the cakes! Very impressive! Basically everything in my kitchen is from my wedding 8 years ago... I was just thinking the other day that I really ought to splurge and purchase another set of measuring cups and spoons, the writing is all off of them and I have to stack them to know which is the 1/3 cup and which is the 1/2 cup!

  13. That beehive cake is adorable! I probably have lots of odds and ends from my wedding in 2006 but, most importantly, I still have my husband!!!

  14. What a cute cake, ADORABLE!! You two look beautiful!!! <3

My hubby and I celebrate 13 years this coming November and a few things we still have are the ring of flowers/candle holder from our unity candle that I still display. And a baggie of pretzels (unopened of course) from the goodie basket we took with us while traveling to our honeymoon. Not sure why it's the only thing we didn't eat from it!?!?! *lol*

Congrats on 10 years and here is hoping for *AT LEAST* 10 more wonderful years for you!!!!

  15. love the cake. We just celebrated our 10th, too, this summer.
I still have my dress. My aunt made it according to my requests and I love it. Up until two months ago we had our topper--a really simple glass temple. But my 4 year old dropped it and broke it. I think he was more heartsick over it than I was.
