Snapshot

My man: arriving from a long day at work, he gives me a hello kiss, the kids giggle because we kiss on the mouth(!).  He begins to sit down to enjoy the view and peel an orange, and he's hardly on the floor before at least someone is clamoring for his lap.  These moments will dissolve all too soon, I know, but they are hard for me to savor with the chaos that inevitably tags along.  I believe it might be one of those daily resolutions.  Enjoy these snapshots, Katy. Smile at little girls on dad's lap sharing a story, a snack, or a snuggle (and take lots of pictures, especially when you have "placenta brain" as my midwife calls it.)

  5. I LOVE this picture...the contrast is beautiful.
Also, I totally know what you mean when you find it hard to enjoy the
'moments'. It is so easy to be distrated by all of the chaos, but my baby is ten years old now, so I am starting to get a glimpse that these 'moments' melt away faster than you or I can imagine...so continue to enjoy.
