I'm not sure why I get myself into such projects. but it's just what I tend to do. I chose nail polish to paint these cupboard handles (I've never noticed how SMALL that brush is!)--and they needed about 5 coats. Just a little preview of what's going on in the kitchen!

  1. One tiny brush and five coats??? That means lots of hours!! Can't wait to see them in place. Great color!

  4. umm.. maybe tomorrow? i started an extended family blog to keep in touch with my cousins and such and that has kept me busy. Maybe I'll just copy my postings to both. i'm getting into the blog idea - i find myself visiting yours almost everyday to see if you've added anything.
i was thinking about your nail-polished knobs today. did you put a top coat? (i'm really not joking). I ask, because i can't keep nail polish on my nails for more than 24 hours before chips and problems ruin the whole look.

  5. I can't wait to read your blog!

No top coat-just applied it REALLY thick(ly?). I put globs of paint on and then swirled them around. Let them dry, untouched, for a day before adding another layer until the desired color is achieved. I used the cheap-o brand (NYC, I think), only $.97. I don't know if the more expensive brands would do any differently.
