I remember when I first hatched the idea for "Once Upon a Thread". I couldn't sleep, I was so excited. I imagined all the books that I could use for inspiration in sewing and all the bloggers I knew I wanted to invite. As absurd as it sounds, it made me giddy, and truth be told, it still does.
Sometimes when I sit down and organize (in order of ROYGBIV, of course) our collection of children's books, I act like my children, getting distracted looking at each book, imagining the projects that could be created, or while I'm reading them bedtime stories. It's also got me thinking about doing another sewing series inspired by artists, because as a child, with parents as artists, we always had a huge amount of books about artists in our library at home. I'm thinking Georgia O'Keefe will be first. But, you know me and how I get these ideas in my head and they may or may not come to pass. I have a backlog of projects that need to be born.
But I digress (see? just like my kids!). The 3rd season? session? round? what shall we call it? of Once Upon a Thread is in the planning stages. I have a few returning guests, a few newcomers, but then I thought of my very best resource for scouting talent...YOU! Who would you love to see come to Once Upon a Thread? Or do you have a project you'd like to share? Do you have an etsy shop or know of one who has literary-themed wares you'd like to see featured? I'm hoping you've stumbled upon someone or something and thought, this would be perfect for Once Upon a Thread!
