ThanksGiveaway: Rollie Pollie Pattern Giveaway

I love deadlines.  I need one looming over my head to really be productive, which is why I always love Once Upon a Thread. I have all these books with ideas and often they never have a chance to actually be created because, well, you know how life gets in the way.
I've wanted to make Dana's (MADE) Rollie Pollie pattern for many months and finally had that deadline grinning it's wily teeth at me.  In fact I made not just one, but two!
(do you like our make-shift fire? it was in the 80s this day!)
But with that procrastination that often holds hands with my deadlines, I didn't have enough filler for both, and didn't have time to order some more.
We don't have very much furniture in our house, but we love to curl up every night with our books.
Often the whole width of the fireplace is filled with library books to choose from.  We probably keep the library in business with all the late fees we tend to pay.
So I dreamed of having a Rollie Pollie for the kids to enjoy their literary treasures.  Mighty comfy, wouldn't you say?  I think I might have to make 2 jumbo ones for Ryan and me.
Want to make your very own Rollie Pollie?  Dana is generously offering 4 of her patterns to no big dill readers!

➊ Leave a comment: Where do you prefer to do your reading?
➋ Please include your email address, if it's not linked to your profile, even if it's in the form of: nobigdillblog  at  gmail  dot  com, if you're worried about spam.  Please, oh, please.
➌ You have until Sunday 11:59 pm EST to get your comment in.

Of course you can always just buy Dana's pattern, which includes two sizes!  Her instructions are filled with color photos and easily assembled pattern pieces you print at home.

  3. We do most of our reading on the couch in front of the fireplace or in our beds, but we've got books in every room. BTW, I am constanty impressed with your productivity while taking care of six kids. I've only got two and I'm nowhere near as productive. But I am trying! kristie_keely(at)yahoo(d0t)com

I love to read. I would love to read all day long and I hope one day, I can teach that love to the children in my life as well. This includes not only my family, but also my students. I will be an elementary teacher in just a few years and hopefully I can inspire my students.

  46. I like to do my reading in the living room, on my comfy leather couch with a standard lamp beside me to aid my reading. My feet up on a footstool are toasty in cosy boot slippers and my fake fur blanket envelopes me. Ideally it is Autumn outside with browns and orange leaves and it is just cold enough to have the fire on. If I have set aside proper reading time then a cup of tea and a couple of chocolate digestives might be beside me too.

I really want to read a book right now.

BUT I mostly read next to my youngest daughter's bed for night time stories or in my own bed for a few stolen minutes before I fall asleep.

I would sling my legs slung over one arm, curve my body in the seat and a cup of tea on the other armrest. When my daughter was born, it was the place we read together. Sadly, after almost 20 years in my home, my red chair did not survive our last move. I am now in search of the perfect replacement!
