This week over at Project Run and Play, the challenge was to come up with a variation on this sweet dress fro Leila and Ben Patterns:
I came up with something I thought was sleek yet twirly (what little girl doesn't like twirly?!)
I gave the edges on the sleeves and the hem some oomph, kind of like Marilyn Monroe's infamous street grate dress.
I wanted an accessory that was just as unique as the dress, something unexpected. I have always loved origami--making it for hours as a little girl. I had to have a refresher, but loved how these ramie Japanese cranes adorned her hair, whispering sweet somethings in her ear.
This was my practice, much easier with paper :)
Azure loves the dress and wanted to sleep in it=success.
Head on over to vote for your favorite look.
