One day is simply not enough to celebrate one's birthday.
But instead of gifts to me, I am giving away a bracelet I just finished:
Double ruffle banded cuff in eggplant and soft slate.
I had to borrow one of Ryan's belts because, would you believe it, I don't own a grey belt? Tsk, tsk.
Vintage glass button closure
This color scheme can't seem to escape my grasp, can it?
To do list:
*edit* ps in case you were wondering, you won't find these in my etsy shop because it takes many hours to make and I don't work for $.06/hr [although this motherhood thing doesn't pay much either, and I continue with it] but I do have a pattern variation available.
I just adore your beaded ruffle bracelets and am in AWE of the fact that you actually hand make them. Amazing.ReplyDelete
BEAUTIFUL!!! I ♥ that color scheme as well! How do you ever find the time to make such beautiful things!?ReplyDelete
happy birthday to a girl who always picks out the most fabulous color schemes!ReplyDelete
Gorgeous! I hope you had the happiest of birthdays!ReplyDelete

This eggplant bracelet totally ROCKS! It is beautiful, gorgeous, striking, eye-catching, dazzling, amazing, incredible and impressive and totally created by a very gifted and talented artist - YOU!ReplyDelete
How's that for oomph? Way back you wrote about green and red--and I did paint my house; it is "olive gray" and my door is "posh red."
It looks lovely, and I did all the work myself.
That is beautiful and Happy Birthday!!!ReplyDelete
The color reminds me of the figs that are ripening on our fig tree... lovely! The bracelet is amazing!ReplyDelete
yes, how DO you find the time?! I LOVE the purple. It would go great with the gray top that I have on...:)ReplyDelete

It's gorgeous! As always...ReplyDelete
Oh... and oomph!
I'm loving the color scheme! I am amazed at these bracelets you make. They are all so beautiful!ReplyDelete
what's most delicious (to me) is that draped over the yellow mini chair it looks big enough to be a lovely wrap. One that would airily fan perfectly around your shoulders and face, for an evening at the symphony or sitting in the your garden of cosmos reading.ReplyDelete
happy happy birthday.
mayhap an adventure of Alice in Wonderland proportions will make it so :O)
A comment with oomph? What pressure! How about a quote that I have recently come to love?ReplyDelete
"A year from now you will wish you had started today"
I wish I could do that beautiful beadwork that you do. Maybe all I need is an example in my home to draw from (hint hint)...
So beautiful! I would love to have it!!ReplyDelete
LOVE the colors!! Happy belated birthday! :) I celebrated this weekend too, mine was Monday the 26th. :)ReplyDelete

Happy Happy Birthday to you!! I love those cuff braclets! I have tried to figure it out by can't seem to get it right. Love the color combo on this one.ReplyDelete
What an amazing bracelet! Was it a swim lessons project? You must have great vision and patience.ReplyDelete
Hope your birthday was fab... just had one myself and would love to continue celebrating!
Because I know I will never make one for myself, I am sending you lots of oomp, in hopes that I will soon be wearing a beaded cuff, handmade, and designed by Katy Dill.ReplyDelete

Want a comment with oomph? How's this:ReplyDelete
We just found out 30 minutes ago that MD's heart murmur is innocent! Yay!
Lovely bracelet! It would go perfect with a purple maternity dress I just got for a wedding.
happy birthday thanks for sharing your gift
I have prego brain and therefore no comment with oomph. If I can manage to keep my two girls alive for the next six months, I will consider myself a success. I love looking at your pictures, Happy Birthday, and oh yeah, pick me. =)ReplyDelete
I love that color scheme, so much so that I chose those same scheme for my wedding colors last year.ReplyDelete
What a lovely bracelet, such beautiful colors. I love the family dinner pictures, thanks for sharing. Happy Birthday.ReplyDelete
By the way, how can I win a chance to become part of the family?!
I broke up with gum when I got pregnant earlier this year. Are you a gum chewer? Historically I always had a pack of gum handy but something about being pregnant made the taste of fake sweeteners absolutely disgusting so I turned my back on gum. I'm slowly returning to my old friend but only in the flavor of bubblemint.ReplyDelete
Happy Birthday (belated). I am expecting child #5 and would love to have something like that to help me feel feminine instead of just blimpy. I'm starting to feel that way, and I'm only 24 weeks along.ReplyDelete
"They nicknamed me the Oomph Girl, and I loathe that nickname!" -Ann SheridanReplyDelete

Its one of your most beautiful cuffs'. I recently got a new job after 6 months of being unemployed. Although my husband and two little kids had to move to a brand new city - we are making it and I think I would look pretty snazzy walking into my new job with this gorgeous cuff. thank you and happy beautiful birthday.
After reading many of the comments I realize there is no way I should win. I did not write a poem or think of all kinds of amazing adjectives to describe that delectable bracelet. But oh the accessorizing I could do with something like that. I do have the shoes for it! Happy bday!ReplyDelete

Happy Birthday. I would love to win your bracelet. All of the items you make are so beautiful.ReplyDelete
gorgeous and delicateReplyDelete
happy birthday to you
I am just weaning my youngest and I am trying to get back in shape after being pregnant or nursing for almost six years straight. A bracelet such as the one you made would help me to feel elegant again!! I don't know if I have any chance of being able to make one for myself, but I tried to buy your tutorial on Etsy and it didn't work for some reason. Thanks for all your inspiration!ReplyDelete
I read "oomph" and immediatly thought of oompa loompas. I've got them on the brain these days...planning my kiddo's Willy Wonka-themed birthday...
Hope you had a great day and were appropriately spoiled : )
Happy birthday to you! I absolutly adore this bracelet and appreciate the time and talent that went into it. If there is one thing my hubby constantly reminds me about when I think of selling my items, is "your time is worth something". Such a hard thing to remember when you are a mom and you work for free! I don't know how you find the time to raise 5 beautiful daughters, take such amazing pictures and make such amazing things. You rock...and make the rest of us feel bad! Hope your birthday is the best yet!ReplyDelete
I have never ever seen a bracelet like this before. It is GORGEOUS!!! This is my first time to your site and I am hooked. I would LOVE this bracelet and I can imagine the outfit I would wear with it now...HUBBA HUBBA!!!!ReplyDelete
Happy, happy birthday!ReplyDelete
Maybe in all your free time - wink, wink - you could teach a sewing camp. I want to have a little bit of that talent :). And a little time away from changing diapers ( of 3 kids ) wouldn't be too bad either. In the mean time, I would love to be sporting that bracelet - while I change those diapers. That would make an unpleasant task better, no?
My birthday was on the 25th. Boo Hoo...how can I be 42? This lovely little piece of art would cheer me up...ReplyDelete
And that would be a signature bracelet I would like to wear!ReplyDelete
This bracelet is beautiful! And, you're right - 6 cents an hour doesn't cut it, unless it's for the cause of motherhood. :)ReplyDelete
oompha loompha doompha dee doomph I've got another puzzle for you. what do you get with a whole bunch of beads, and a nice girl who does many good deeds? Add a creative mind and a whole lot of time, and what do you have? A bracelet that's mine! If you are wise & give to to me, you will feel happy doompha dee dee.ReplyDelete
It's a really beautiful bracelet Katy, thanks for doing this giveaway!
I very merry birthday to you. I also don't own a gray belt, but I'd love to own your pretty bracelet.ReplyDelete
