Purse Presents

This year I suggested Divine make her teacher's Christmas gifts.  So, she found out their favorite colors and she did all the cutting and some of the sewing to give to her three teachers.  Good thing they're all women.  These purses are a  great way to use up those remnant pieces of fabric.  When it comes to food, I'm horrible at eating leftovers.  Fabric, though, I have a hard time throwing even the smallest scrap--[I could make a covered button from that!]

  1. Oh! Oh! Oh! I want to be Divine's teacher!
Very lovely work, Miss D. Next year's teachers will be fighting over you to get you in their class.

  7. I decided to make these for the students that I tutor, and I have been frantically trying to get supplies to make them personal and specialized to each student. I will be (blaming)/thinking of you when I find all the additional grey hairs by the time I'm done figuring this out, and crediting you for the smiles on their faces if I can make them look nearly as nice as Ms. Divine! :). Thanks as always for the great ideas!

  12. Olivia-so glad you asked! The orange one is lined with a pink satin scrap from my High School Senior Dinner Dance dress, the green in lined with a scrap of green lining from a coat I still need to finish, and the purple/blue is lined with a bit of random yellow I had, though I don't think I've ever used before. Wish you could come over and we could finish up your purse!
