My first-born turned 7 today.  What happened to those 7 years?  I am glad she's 7 years and not 7 hours, 7 days, or 7 weeks.  Divine had colic the first 3 months of her life.  She had to be held face down and bounced constantly...by Ryan.  They've had a special connection ever since.  They enjoy a good round of teasing one with another.

She flatters me, wanting to do everything I do.  I recently taught her how to iron.  Yes, my six-year-old was ironing.  She begs me for something to iron every time I fold the laundry.  She will sit by my side as I sew on my machine while she practices sewing buttons on scraps of fabric. (Her Gammy gave her a miniature sewing machine for her birthday and she was thrilled.)  She loves to please and do everything right the first time.  She will go far because she already knows she can.  I am honored to be her mother.

Happy Birthday my Divine.  I love you so.
