Hard Workers...Well, 3 out of 4

There is very little else that brings such satisfaction as seeing my children working hard.  They said to me, (because we did it a few months ago) "Do you remember when we scrubbed the cracks?  That was fun!"  So, what did we do?  We scrubbed the grout in the kitchen again, of course!  Even Azure did some double scrubbing.  Pearl, on the other hand got bored of the project, which seems to be her personality.  She will start out strong, and slowly fade as time progresses.  For example, in the middle of our Ward Christmas pageant, a star fell from the sky.  She was bored (do you blame her?) and tired.  So, she took a little rest.

  1. I love it! You know you're a good mom when you get your kids to think cleaning kitchen floor grout is fun! Good job Katy. I love the picture of Azure the most.

  5. That star that fell out of heaven is ADORABLE!

Nice job on the mini-monkey slave labor. Zoe (the baby) snatches wipes from the box and can be found wiping up the floor with them (just like mommy). It brings a proud tear to my eye. I can't seem to "encourage" the older ones to actually do work around the house though. Any tips oh wise one?

  7. Calvin's idea of hard work is jumping up and down on the couch as much as he can before mom comes in and tells him for the bazillionth time not to jump on the couch. You are a good mom and your souffle looked fab. Coincidentally I just made a chocolate souffle also, I served it with an amaretto cream sauce and mixed berries.
