I took my inspiration from
her, and found these houses at the Goodwill, most for 50 cents. The project was fun for every age, as there was no competition, painting everything a glossy white, and all. Even Olive got rave reviews from her sisters. Our Spanish moss, gathered from the tree in our backyard, finished the scene, with the manger tucked in the corner. I think I'll add some stars next year, improving the scene as time progresses. Or so I
think.
It is gorgeous (as was the source of your inspiration). I don't see any orange, though (:
ReplyDeleteNo orange because it's not in the Orange Christmas Room, it's by our green fireplace and green/red/pink stockings. No, I'm not making color coordinating stockings each year.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful scene! I bet the kids had a ball painting the houses.

I am so delighted to see this this morning - it IS gorgeous! I love that you made this, and the moss - perfect touch!
ReplyDeleteI love that idea! And it turned out so gorgeous. How fun that the kids got to paint the houses, and who can mess up painting something all white. Cool idea. I might just steal it! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job Olive, Pearl and Divine!
ReplyDeleteNice Nativity Katy!
