Frosty the Sandman!

We weren't planning a Christmas in Florida, but alas, here we are, with a sandman instead of a snowman (not that we'd really have a snowman in Texas!) I am always amaze to glimpse the difference in personalities of our girls. Olive was the first to run to the ocean (although she found the waves that knocked her down to be a bit daunting), Pearl was close behind, Divine stayed far from the water until she finally got up the nerve to dip in a toe or two, and Azure took a nice relaxing nap ashore. I'm sure the temperature of the water had something to do with it, but really, who can resist getting at least part way in to feel swaying of the waves and the sand eroding underfoot? With Olive clutching one hand and Pearl the other, the three of us waded in and out of the water until I noticed the waves creeping up to the carseat, trying to carry with it our flip flops and collected shells. Something very theraputic about the beach.
